FRANCE / ALSACE : Snow Passion Equestrian Holidays

Need a change of scenery and to take advatage of the wonderful things that winter has to offer?

We suggest you to come relax in the mountains, in the heart of a protected site, full of history and legends.

Situated on the Alsation side of the Vosges mountains, gallop in the millenary forests and snow-covered of Alsace. Escape for the time of a weekend and meet up with your family or friends in the evening, by the fireside, in our cabin with a convivial and welcoming atmosphere.

Day 1 & 2
Meeting at the equestrian center at 9 AM. During the weekend, different winter activities will be offered: horse riding to discover the magic of the snow covered woods and the pleasure to canter in the white powder, but also ski-joering (skiing pulled by a horse) or horse-tubbing (a buoy being pulled by a horse) will be on the program.

Some rides are with Icelandic horses; these small horses accustomed to cold climates are ideal for riding in the snow. If you have some experience you can even ride bareback! Other rides are with the horse of your choice from our herd of different breeds.

The schedule of the day is discussed in the morning depending on the weather and can not be defined in advance. Depending on weather conditions, the quantity and quality of snow on that day a practicable itinerary one day may not be possible the next.

The week-end ride ends around 6pm on day 2 (possibility to spend more than 2 days).

The above program is a rough indication and the riding guide is the only person deciding the possible activities for the day. Also note that snow is not guaranteed.

Riding guest reviews

"We have been welcomed in a beautiful house. At the start there wasn't any snow. The Vosges made us discover really wonderful natural spaces.
Really quickly a storm brought us the snow we were waiting for. The small Icelandic horses allowed us to enjoy nice gallops through snow-covered landscapes. Cadenced by the horses walking in the fresh snow, we appreciated the peace and the vast white spaces.
We were accompanied by a wonderful guide and two future wonderful guides! A safety assured, a pleasure on the horse guaranteed, a flawless attentiveness, advices, a shared passion and everything is reunited for a magical stay!
A big thank you for realising our dream : a stay, the hoof in the snow." - Léa P. (2020)

We spent a really nice weekend in ALsace. Conviviality, Beauty of the landscapes, gastronomy, quality of the services were not lacking." - Claire G. (2017)

"In Alsace, everything is generous : a team who shares its cheerfulness from the start, plentiful meals, aperitifs as much as you like, nice and healthy cavalry. Between quick canters in beautiful landscapes and riding bareback on Icelandic horses in the snow there is no time to get bored. Moreover, the team listens to our wishes and proposes us different horses and itineraries. A good way to disconnect from your daily life and to take the time to enjoy yourself." - Emilie F. (Feb. 2014)
