RIDE ITINERARYDay 1 - Saturday
Meeting at the riding centre at 8:45 am. There, we are acquainted with the place, the horses, the guides and your fellow riders, while drinking a hot coffee. We prepare our horses and begin in the arena, to get to know better our horses. After having chosen the horse who suits you better, here we go for two to three hours ride outdoor. We discover the ocean, enjoying a wonderful view on the Landes forest, with the sea just behind. After a short hour of trail during which we had time to get used to our horses temper, we arrive on the beach, far from civilization. We ride South, taking our time breathing the salted air and considering this endless strech of land... Then, after a few canters, we go back to the forest through the Lette of Seguedey, then the Bias pond where we stop to have lunch. We get back into saddle at 3:30pm, after a short and necessary nap. We go towards the Moulasse Swamp, then some crests above dunes, long canters in straight tracks on the brigand path to arrive at the riding centre where our horses will stay tonight. We spend the night at the welcoming manor of Tireveste where we can enjoy a typical Landes dinner. Day 2 - Sunday We wake up early today, to have breakfast at 8:00am and be on horseback at 9:30am. We ride to the white sand plain and take the Courlis banks, riding near its clear waters for some kilometers. Then we leave Saint Julien en Born for some unforgettable canters in a real labyrinth, leaving behing us the Haute Lande landscapes to find the dunes of the seashore again. We stop nearby the sea for lunch. This afternoon, we leave along the Sintias Laguna, then the Tirelagüe pond where our horses can drink. Then we enter this huge forest and its luxuriant and wild vegetation. We ride among dunes with unexpected relief, to reach the banks of the Mimizan stream and its mouth. We end up riding on the beach at sunset before arriving at the riding centre. The arrival time can change according to the weather, the season, and the length of days.
