Trail riding in high mountain pastures - Ride in France

Ride kind and touching horses to fully enjoy the amazing landscapes of the region: the Chartreuse Massif or the Belledonnes Mountain channel...

We suggest you 2 formulas:

Day 1
Meeting at the riding centre at 9.00 am. Then, we start riding in the plain to have a first contact with our horses. We ride along Saint Jean de la Porte Lake and Carouge Lake at Saint Pierre d'Albigny. Here, we have a bath with our horses (if the weather is good)... In the afternoon, we ride through the vineyards. A wine grower makes us discover his activity and his domain, sharing his passion with us. Finally, we ride back to the farm late in the afternoon and leave our horses. Dinner and night in a guesthouse.

Day 2
This morning we go to Chignin to discover its magnificent tower. The afternoon allows us a more thorough discovery of the region's vineyards, up to the Cruet’s Cellar of Wines where we enjoy explanations and tasting of various French Alps’ wines. Then, we ride back to the farm. Departure of the riders from 6.00 pm.

Day 1
Meeting point at the riding centre at 9.00 am. Then, we start riding through vineyards and villages until Boisserette. Here, we have a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, we join the Lake of Thuile, where we have the opportunity to bath with our horses (if the weather is good). We finally reach our camp for the night with a fantastic view over the Belledonne Mountains. After having taken care of our horses, we prepare the barbecue and settle the tents. The dinner is accompanied by local wines.

Day 2
This morning we ride up to the Lindar Pass. First, we ride towards the Sciaz pass and have a picnic lunch at the Ducrey Cabin. Then, we ride towards the Mount Morbié, where we enjoy a 360° panoramic view on the Bauges Massif and the Combe de Savoie. We ride down in the valley, and end this wonderful week-end cantering in the valley. We ride back to the equestrian farm and the riders leave from 6pm.

A nice riding tour with kind Henson breed horses, an itinerary adapted to the riding ability of the riders. A friendly environment!

Riding guest reviews

"The landscapes were wonderful and the horses quiet and kind. The guide was able to adapt himself to every riders’ ability. The host who received us for dinner and night was very atypical and friendly." - Armand P. (2017)

"The hospitality and the riding tour were perfect. Didier is very respectful with his horses. He is perhaps a little bit shy but easily answered our questions. The riding tour was really appreciated by everybody, as well as Marcelle, our host who pampered us! Thanks to every one for this wonderful riding tour and for the services provided!!!" - Frederic B. (2017)
