South western France is made of very different landscapes and cultures, but everywhere you will find good food and sunny weather !
The Atlantic Coast
The Atlantic Coast between Bordeaux and Biarritz extends from the Landes region to the Pays Basque. Further North, the Oleron Island is spreading over the sea as an invitation to long canters...
This coast of the Landes region is an endless sandy beach bordered by a huge forest : a paradise for horse lovers !

The Pays Basque

Pays Basque is where Pyrenees mountains meet the Atlantic ocean.
The never ending beaches of the Landes finally have an end and they turn into wonderful cliffs and coves.
Historic sea resorts and typical villages are spread in the hills which tower the seaside.
This region is also the homeland of the Basques, one of the most ancient nation of Europe who preserve their own language and traditions. |
The Perigord and Lot
