RIDE ITINERARYDay 1 - Monday
Meeting at 2.30pm at the riding centre on the Silver Coast. The week starts with a half-day ride around the farm, which enables the riders to get used to our horses and gives us the opportunity to grasp their different levels and expectations. Our short surroundings are very beautiful, and you will catch some nice views on the ocean from the top of natural sand dunes. Dinner and night at the hotel. Day 2 - Tuesday A very busy day starting with a ride along the coast on endless beaches, perfect places for canters... before you head inland to discover the Tirelagüe marsh, Sintias lagoon and Bourg le Vieux lake. In the afternoon, you return towards the coast, riding through the sand dunes before finishing with a ride along the banks of the River Courlis. Night in a guesthouse at Saint Julien en Born. (During July and August, we spend this night under tents). Day 3 - Wednesday The day starts with a ride across a large sandy plain, after which you ride to the heart of swamps, in a beautiful forest leading to Uza and La Forge lake. Here, we stop for lunch and have time to go for a swim in the lake before continuing south to the idyllic village of Lévignacq where you stay overnight. (During July and August, we spend this night under tents) Day 4 - Thursday In the morning you discover an area known as the Grande Lande then ride along the banks of the River Mézos to your picnic spot. Afterwards, you head back towards Bourg le Vieux lake via the Moulasse marshes. Today as the other days, the ground is perfect for nice and safe trots and canters. Dinner and night at the hotel. (During July and August, we spend this night under tents) Day 5 - Friday On your last full day of trekking, you head towards the Etang d’Aureilhan, a large lake north of Mimizan. We have lunch there and swim with the horses if the weather is good enough. You spend the afternoon riding along its shores before finishing the day with a sunset ride along the beach. Dinner and night at the hotel. Day 6 - Saturday Today, enjoy a half-day ride a.m. or p.m. according to the tide with some last exciting galops on the beach , then you have the rest of the day free to relax on the beach or visit the famous Pyla dune (by your own). Lunch not included. Dinner and night at the hotel. Day 7 - Sunday End of the trail and departure after breakfast. Important : During days 1 and 6, we ride only a half day.
