RIDE ITINERARYDay 1 - Monday
Meeting at 2.30pm to the riding centre on the Silver Coast where you're welcome by our guide. The week starts with a half-day of local riding, enables the riders to get used to our horses and gives us the opportunity to grasp their different levels and expectations, to put them on the horses that suit them best over the following 5 days. Lunch not included. Dinner and night at the hotel. Day 2 - Tuesday A very varied day which starts with a ride along the coast on endless beaches, perfect for canters... before you head inland to discover the Tirelagüe marsh, Sintias lagoon and Bourg le Vieux lake. In the afternoon, you return towards the coast, riding through the sand dunes before finishing with a ride along the banks of the River Courlis. Night in guesthouse to Saint Julien en Born. (During July and august, we spent this night under tent !). Day 3 - Wednesday The day starts with a ride across a large sandy plain, after which you ride to the heart of swamps, in a beautiful forest until Uza and La Forge lake. Here, we stop for lunch and have time to have a bath in the lake before to continue south to the idyllic village of Lévignacq where you stay overnight. (During July and august, we spent this night under tent !) Day 4 - Thursday In the morning you discover an area known as the Grande Lande then ride along the banks of the River Mézos to your picnic spot. Afterwards, you head back towards the Bourg le Vieux lake via the Moulasse marshes. Today as the other days, the ground is perfect for nice and safety trots and canters. Dinner and night at the hotel. (During July and august, we spent this night under tent !) Day 5 - Friday On your last full day of the trail, you head towards the Etang d’Aureilhan, the large lake just to the north of Mimizan. We have lunch there and swim with the horses if the weather permitted. You spend the afternoon riding along its shores before finishing the day with a sunset ride along the beach.Dinner and night at the hotel. Day 6 - Saturday Today, enjoy a half-day local ride a.m. or p.m. according to the tide with some last exciting galop on the beach , then leaving you the rest of the day free to relax on the beach or visit the famous Pyla dune (by your own). Lunch not included. Dinner and night at the hotel. Day 7 - Sunday End of the trail and departure after breakfast. Important : During days 1 and 6, we ride only a half day. HORSES, TACK AND RIDING EXPERIENCEHorses
We have about 20 anglo arab horses. The most part of them were born and schooled at the farm. They are all used to leave outside and do the trails all year long. Tack
English tack. We don't accept your own saddle on this ride. Saddlebags are provided during the day to put your things inside. The helmet or riding hat is compulsory on that ride. We can provide you a helmet if necessary. Riding experience
To join this ride, you have to be able to easily trot and canter outside, and have a good stamina. The rythm is quite hard and you'll have to ride 5 to 6 hours a day. Children are accepted from 13 years old if accompagnied by an adult. And minors from 15 years old are welcome on that ride.
Maximum weight 95kg. Important : Non riders are welcomed, numerous non riding acticvities are available on that part of the Atlantic Coast. YOUR GUIDESThe ride is supervised by a Equestrian Tourism Guide (French ATE or GTE). He perfectly knows the region and will be happy to share their knowledge with you.
A support vehicle will move all lugage from accommodation to accommodation, and will join you for picnic lunches. ACCOMMODATIONAccommodation
Our riding center is located 400m from the Atlantic Ocean shoreline and in the heart of the pine forest. On that ride, you'll spend 4 nights in a 2*hotel near the riding center (nights 1, 4, 5 and 6).The nights 2 and 3 are spent in guesthouses in comfortable flats equiped with bathroom and kitchen from 4 to 6 people located close to the beach. Single rooms available with supplement. On July and August departures, 3 nights are spent under tent (nights 2, 3 and 4). Bring your own sleeping bag.Single tents could be provided without supplement (to book at the booking time). Mastress are provided and hot shower availble. Meals During the trail, meals will allow you to discover local gastronomy. Lunches are provided by our support vehicule and dinners are taken at your hotel/guesthouse. DATES AND RATES
OPTIONS Accommodation is in double room or sharing tent. - Small group supplement : 200€ - Single supplement : 90 € (no supplement in March and November) This single supplement applies to any booking of a single person. If you are prepared to share and we do find another rider of the same gender to share your room, the single supplement will be refunded to you after the ride.
Included - the trail ride as describe with full board
(except lunch on day 1 and 6),

LANGUAGE English / French speaking guide.One of our guides on this trail also speaks German and Spanish.
GROUP SIZE From 3 to 12 riders maximum.
MEETING POINT Meeting point directly to the riding centre.
Possibility of road transfer from Morcenx train station (30 € per person per way, to pay directly). In that case, you must plan a train arriving in Morcenx at 1.20pm. CLIMATE This part of France enjoys an oceanic climate, with quite hot summers (25°C) but usually windy days. But evenings can be fresh, so don't forget your hot sweater.

HEALTH
There are no specific health formalities and emergency medical treatment is as widely available in the country.
ENTRY FORMALITIES A valid passport is required of all foreigners entering France, except people living from a Schengen agreement country for who a valid ID card is enough.
All foreign citizens who wish to come to France must be able to present regulatory proof of the purpose of their stay, means of support and accommodation. In some cases, they need a visa to enter France. Visas must be applied for before leaving for France at a French consular office.
France is a member of European Union. No visa is required for citizens of other EU states.
